I never know where to put these types of posts so I hope here is ok.

I went with the realtor today and he was so kind, and we had something in common, he was a paramedic for years before starting real estate so we just talked like we'd known each other for years. He's a great guy.

We looked at 5 houses and one was hysterical. From the outside it was the most charming southern house with big columns and a beautiful yard, but when you opened the door, well, the movie money pit comes to mind. In one room the walls were BRIGHT PINK with even brighter pink diamond shapes all over the walls and hard wood floors. They painted these beautiful floors! It was fun to see that house though, and it was amazing what a family, or whatever it was that lived there, could do so much destruction!

Then after looking at a few I just didnt care for we found 2 in a row I fell in love with. Both big enough for my family, and both older homes, like built in the 1980's, but gorgeous, spotless, and tomorrow we are going to look at them again, with the hubby this time, and after he read the details of both houses, we discussed submiting a contract on one, or both of them and try our luck as we are already preapproved.

I cant decide which one I like better, they're both beautiful, but one had hardwoods throughout that were in great shape, and a beautiful foyer, and the other had a huge, HUGE fenced in back yard for the dogs to run in, plus my big jet tub, seperate shower, double sinks, both had fireplaces, big kitchens, etc.......so I sit here scratching my head wondering which one. I think the one with the brand new roof is the way to go since that will save us several thousnd dollars down the road.

I'm so excited and tired I can barely sit here but had to come read some and write about this home buying journey. It's scary, exciting and confusing!

Wish me luck to make it thru another long day. I've really had enough and wish I could just sleep the entire day tomorrow.

I miss you all and promise to catch up on everyone one of these days, soon!!!!!!!!!

Hugs to you all, Sandy

Sandy,
House hunting is so much fun. There are a lot of emotions but I always enjoyed it. Don't forget to take care of you!! Looking forward to hearing what you decide.

It's a gorgeous home, with new everything in it from the refrigerator which the homeowners are leaving to the carpet, paint, everything. It's a two story, hard on the ole body but its at least some exercise for me, has a formal living room, a family room w/fireplace, formal dining room, eat in kitchen, everything we wanted, and a formal foyer, which I REALLY wanted but didnt think I'd find in our price range. This house has been on the market a long time, we are the only ones making an offer, and apparently they tried to sell it about a year ago. Now it's empty, and if they accept the offer our closing date will be May 14th!!!

I'm so excited. I expect that we'll have to raise our offer by a couple thousand dollars, but even if we do we're prepared for it and are still getting a steal of a house in a great neighborhood.

I'm soooooooooo tired, so worn out, mentally and physically and have tons of clothes to do today, but the realtor told me to expect a call from him today, so I'm excited. This house is just so gorgeous I cant believe it probably will be mine and it feels like a family home, I felt it the second I walked in to that formal foyer instead of walking in and stairs are the first thing you see.......EEEEEEEEEK I'm sooooooooooo excited lol.

Wish me luck!! Rather wish US luck! I miss you all so much, but I just cant sit here like I used to, I dont have the energy or the mental stamina to even read much. My body feels like its about to run out of steam and everyone keeps expecting me to keep up this pace that I've HAD to do for the last few weeks, and I cant handle it much longer. Oh to be healthy again!!!! At least I have something to look forward to though.

Hugs to you all, Sandy
