I never know where to put these types of posts so I hope here is ok.
I went with the realtor today and he was so kind, and we had something in common, he was a paramedic for years before starting real estate so we just talked like we'd known each other for years. He's a great guy.
We looked at 5 houses and one was hysterical. From the outside it was the most charming southern house with big columns and a beautiful yard, but when you opened the door, well, the movie money pit comes to mind. In one room the walls were BRIGHT PINK with even brighter pink diamond shapes all over the walls and hard wood floors. They painted these beautiful floors! It was fun to see that house though, and it was amazing what a family, or whatever it was that lived there, could do so much destruction!
Then after looking at a few I just didnt care for we found 2 in a row I fell in love with. Both big enough for my family, and both older homes, like built in the 1980's, but gorgeous, spotless, and tomorrow we are going to look at them again, with the hubby this time, and after he read the details of both houses, we discussed submiting a contract on one, or both of them and try our luck as we are already preapproved.
I cant decide which one I like better, they're both beautiful, but one had hardwoods throughout that were in great shape, and a beautiful foyer, and the other had a huge, HUGE fenced in back yard for the dogs to run in, plus my big jet tub, seperate shower, double sinks, both had fireplaces, big kitchens, etc.......so I sit here scratching my head wondering which one. I think the one with the brand new roof is the way to go since that will save us several thousnd dollars down the road.
I'm so excited and tired I can barely sit here but had to come read some and write about this home buying journey. It's scary, exciting and confusing!
Wish me luck to make it thru another long day. I've really had enough and wish I could just sleep the entire day tomorrow.
I miss you all and promise to catch up on everyone one of these days, soon!!!!!!!!!
Hugs to you all, Sandy
