Percocet withdrawal ? -switching to Dextroamphetamine
I posted this on The Pain Management side but figured I might get some more answers here from those who are on Dextroamphetamine:
My Dr will be putting me on Dextroamphetamine Sulfate this week for PM for IC. So I will be switching from Percocet to this. I am looking forward to it! I like the idea of going off narcotics! Hopefully this will be the answer for me! Not sure if he will still give me Percocet for a while or not. Hopefully I will not need it. But does anyone know if I will experience withdrawals going from the Percocet to Dextroamphetamine Sulfate? I hope not! Maybe the Dex will mask the withdrawals somehow? I take Synthroid right now for my thyroid and sometimes I experience extrememly high blood pressure as it is. So adding withdrawals and Dex hopefully will not make my BP higher. Whenever I weaned off of pain meds in the past my BP went up real high. Very unpleasant feeling! Anyone go off of narcotic pain meds when starting Dextroamphetamine Sulfate? Did you experience withdrawals? Thanks!!! Wishing everyone happy and pain-free days!!!
