Hello everyone,
I've had a pretty tough time these past couple weeks and chalked everything up to an IC flare, though I'm not so sure anymore. I had major surgery in October for endometriosis and since then my body hasn't been right. Granted I have none of the endo pain and substantially less IC pain, but my whole body has been achy & I am so fatigued that I can barely work a four hour shift at work. It's achy in the sense that my ankles, knees, hips, shoulders & neck hurt all the time, almost that feeling you get right before you come down with the flu but on a permanent basis. I've also felt quite dizzy and "out of it". I had a flare a couple weeks ago which is long gone now & I've been strictly following the IC diet. I've also been having some weird stomach issues tied in (no appetite, almost feeling like a very "dry" stomach if that makes any sense) and I'm FREEZING all the time (even under blankets w/ a heating pad in sweats in a 72 degree house).
To make matters worse, I was rear ended yesterday (not a big deal, guy wasn't going fast at all, and hardly any damage to my car) and after the accident, I felt fine (well as "fine" as one can be with so many medical issues i the first place). I woke up this morning and everything is the same as above, x4. I have an appointment with the doctor today (I hate ERs... they don't understand people like us!) who I hope will get to the bottom of things. Do you think the accident could have flared up everything and made fibromyalgia more present? I'm worried my doc will be quick to dismiss it as just pain from the accident and fail to look in to the fact that I was having these problems way before the accident, now they're just a bit worse. The doc I'm going to today is my GP, not my gyno or uro (who I see religiously haha) , so she doesn't get to document my ailments as much as the others :-)
The reason I think it could be fibro- I feel I'm genetically destined to get it since three of my aunts and my grandmother all have it, and all have IC and/or endo. What do you all think? Ah it feels nice to vent to people who may understand!
