I have been in a flare for almost a month now, and I am getting very discouraged and depressed. I haven't had pain for this long since when I was first diagnosed, and I'm so afraid that it's not going to get better. I had a few days when I thought I was almost over it, but then the pain was back again. I started back on Elmiron almost two weeks ago. I just have so many emotions that I don't know what to do with, and sometimes it feels overwhelming because no one around me understands what this is like day after day. I don't mean to sound whiny, but this is the only place where I knew other people would understand. Thank you for listening.:headbang::headbang::headbang:

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post. I was feeling a little better last night but then when I get up in the morning and have to go the pain starts again right after urination. I'm still having some thin whitish discharge and itching too, even though the doctor told me I had no yeast or bacteria. He gave me three days worth of Diflucan anyway last week. I don't know what to do, because to me I think there is something else other than the IC that's irritating my urethra. Any advice?
