Sometimes I feel a burning sensation not when I pee. I don't show any discharge or itching like a yeast infection. Does anyone else get this?
All info appreciated,

Hi Songbird,

I get that sometimes...most of the time I don't have too much burning, but there are a couple things that will start it going. Often, I get it after I have sex... it starts when I pee afterwards, but then continues on and keeps burning even when I am not peeing. Also, I've gotten it when I had big "no-no" foods. Back in February, I was at a meeting and tried some red wine... big mistake. My urethra burned and itched constantly for 4 days as a result, and I had to sit through a 3-hr plane ride to get back home like that... all because I was dumb and cheated on the diet... arrrgh .

'Course, I think if it's a new symptom for you, it might be wise to discuss it with your doctor.

:)

I hope it quits burning... I know it's totally uncomfortable.

Hi Songbird,
I also get the burning not as often as I use too ! I have not been able to pin point why its happening yet but I keep a list of everything I eat and drink. My doctor gave me some meds for the burning so now if it happens I take a pill. Maybe running it by your doctor and see what they think ? Hope the burning does not last long !:grouphug:

I have been tracking my urine ph every day with litmus paper. There is a definate correlation with the urine being acidic and the burning. I try to bring the ph up with prelief, lots of water and a glass of milk works great for me.

You people are really great. I just posted this recently and already I have some responses. It could be from the recent course of antibiotics I took? I took acidophilis but my bladder didn't like it.
Thank you everyone for your warmth and caring and ideas. And yes, I hope this goes away for all of us soon.

This can be really hard on our bladders. It makes LACTIC ACID. I found that out the hard way.
