This morning I get up at 4 am, because my little man decided it was time to get up, I get him a cup of milk and he goes back to bed.. of course I have to take DH to work at 540am so why go back to bed:cussing:
I go out to start my van, ignition is froze! I had to borrow my sisters car to take him, and I'll be darned if I didn't get rear ended sitting at a stop light!! It was a kid and he looked scared to death. There was no damage on my sisters car and his had a nice bang and chipped paint, but I don't really think it was from hitting me. He followed me to the next main road he apologized in depth. We both checked our cars out in the better lighting and agreed neither car suffered any damage. He kept asking me if I was ok, and I said fine, didn't want to make him think he was the cause of my pain because I am in a flair. so after a few are you sure you are ok I told him to go on and be more careful. my day proceeded to go down hill from there.

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas:angel:

Days like that stink! On the plus side theres always tomorrow and with any hope things will go very smoothly.
Thank goodness nobody was hurt and it was only a fender bender, if that. Its great that the "kid" appeared concerned and took the time to insure you were OK.

Wishing you a very merry Xmas!

How nice that you both handled it so well!

One of my students was in a car accident (very minor injuries) & the first thing another kid said was "Great! You now have your college education paid for!"
I was thoroughly disgusted & gave her an earful about honesty & integrity. She was unimpressed. Sigh.

Your story though reaffirms that people can be honest & do the right thing!
(Like apologizing or like not taking advantage of someone's mistake.)

And I'm really glad you are ok,
Kadi

that's great no one was hurt especially little one. He apologized and that is kind from some of these kids today. Not sure how your state is but ours is no fault. So any damage even if it was his fault you pay the bill not him. Even if you don't call the cops I would still exchange name and insurance info. I am from a no fault state and it is winter. Vicky

thanks girls, yes we are no fault here too, but I wan't going to cause this kid to get a ticket for rear ending the car so close to Christmas, and it wasn't bad enough to call it in or the cops.

yes he would have gotten a ticket for sure. No cop is going to let someone go or give them a warning when they were following too close and rear ended someone........... even if it is the Holidays. They have a job to do and to do it properly. You are a very kind soul.
