I have been told urelle is a good substitute for urgency/frequency and discomfort instead of using pyridium long term. Is it also good for burning cause the prydium works great for that? I go to uro tomorrow and was thinking of asking for some samples of urelle.

thanks

If you are looking to save some money, the good news is that urelle comes in a generic called utira-c. There is also prosed out there, but there is no generic so it can be rather expensive. You should also ask your doctor for free samples of urelle and prosed. They are very similar in formulation. My doctor gave me a two week supply of each to see if I could tell any difference. At least a free month supply of meds was helpful. Since the urelle worked just as well as prosed we went with the generic and it is fine. Good luck to you.

I take Prosed DS, which is very similar to Urelle. It just works better for me. I hate that it dosn't have a generic yet, but I am getting it through my insurance pharmacy and it's much cheaper. As my hubby says, if that's what it takes to make me feel better, then that is what I take and just grin and pay the price.

Pyridium always made me so sick, plus from what I understand it's not for longterm use.
