Hello everyone out there, I need some advice! I am 50 years old and in per1menapause. I have skipped periods and had periods that were heavy. Right now I am in a flare and spotting. I only bleed on the tissue when I wipe. It isn't all the time but its maybe every other day for a week or so. Once I bleed some in the toilet, small amounts of very small clotting. I don't know if this is from the bladder or not. Has anyone had this experience?

I don't know if you have any tampons available, but to see if it's vaginal or urethral blood, put a tampon in for a while. If there is blood on the tampon you know it's vaginal and ok since you're in perimenopause it's normal. If it's urethral you REALLY need to be checked soon as most blood from the bladder isn't that acutely visible.

If you have blood in your urine, it could be an indication that you have an infection working. If you can tolerate a tampon, you might want to try that to identify where the blood is coming from.
