Ok so I thought my period this month was late but helloooo 10 days??? So, I call my doctor and tell him that I took prego test and negative and not to mention my husband had the big V done, so that is ruled out! He said not to worry and give it time that sometimes this can happen and call him in January if I do not get it.

Ok, so my question to anyone please, did this ever happen where you just did not get your period other than the obvious reason of pregnancy? I was faithfully every 28 days and now nothing and it has been 38 days! Please any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. I know I had a thread about late periods but now I still have not even gotten it. Who knows!!! Thanks in advance, Renee'

Hi,

I often miss my periods, because I get cysts, and sometimes I'll miss even 2 and then the next month I'll get the period from HECK!

It's really weird...I had period issues when I was in my early teens, but regular BC straightened that out. And from the age of 16 to about the time just before IC, my periods were ok. They were nothing like they are now and they weren't so heavy either.

Now I my periods are so painful I can barely get outta bed the first 3 or 4 days...

It just makes me wonder if IC just wrecks havoc on our entire pelvic region.

I hope ya get your period soon and try not to fret too much.

Take care.

What's your age? It is normal to get shorter or longer menstrual cycles as we get older.
Perimenopause can start in your thirties or forties.

Thanks ladies! I guess I will just wait it out and see what happens. I am going to be 40 in April. I thought it was just weird how all of a sudden I skipped a period after being soo regular but I guess it happens. A friend of mine was 10 days late before and they ruled it out as just stress, so having IC and all the joys of the holidays may have something to do with it for me this month. It's weird that we complain about getting our periods and then when it does not come, we panick. At least I do anyway!

Thanks again and have a great holiday!

At 40 you could be in the pre-menopause period, but I think you may need to see your doctor to be sure there isn't something else going on.
