Well..this Monday morning just has been lovely. I have woke to a nasty pain in my left side, right on the spot where my surgery was a year ago...seems todo that periodically but this has me doubled. I've tried to relax and do some calming poses from Yoga. But T''aint working!!!!My reg doc is on vacation this week or I'd call him. I don't know what he coulddo for me though. I wonder if I should call my original ob/gyn who did the surgery...Geez I'mso confused and I hurt so damn bad this morning. I wonder if pulled some deep adhesions yesterday when I did that stupid backbend, on a dare from my daughter.
Ouch...what can I do...? what should I do?
Tracey
Tracey,
I would talk to some Dr. about it. I don't think it is out of line to call the Dr. who did the surgery at all. Sending hugs your way.:grouphug:

I agree with Jolene, I think you should definitely discuss it with a doctor. Pain that severe should be evaluated by a professional, just in case... And I think I would start with your surgeon since you feel like it is coming from the surgery site. Who better to discuss adhesions with then the person who cuts them out for a living!! :) It may very well be nothing to be worried about, but I bet he/she would be able to give you a few suggestions to decrease the pain.

I finally called the surgeon who started all this with my oompherectomy last year at this time. (I don't blame her at all, she's a wonderful lady, and nothing she did could have prevented my IC...My organs were so twisted and nasty last year that she had to unwind all stuff and adhesions and blood...with trying to untangle that mess and get my bladder and ureter off my vaginal wall, wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a problem. )
Anyone she is wanting me to go have an ultrasound tomorrow and some blood work.."sigh" she's afraid I may have adhesions already, again, possibly constricting my bowel. If I have to have surgery for that...oh man, I am going to crap my pants.
Thanks
Tracey

I'll cross my fingers and say a little prayer that your tests will find what's causing your pain and that it can be easily fixed.
Warm healing thoughts,

She is squeezing me in tomorrow between sugeries, unless it gets worse, then I'm supposed to go to emergency. It feels a little better today but I'm getting it checked anyway. It still throbs and I can still feel it. Sumin tells me I'm getting a finger up where I don't want it (prob 2 place) UGH!! My dignity has disappeared from the face of the earth;

Ugh...sorry, I'm actually having a migraine this morning. I went through a bout of those everyday for a year right before the IC started. I'm not happy because I'm meeting up with some other ladies from my area who have IC and I need this heachache gone.:bonk: My docs took me off migraine meds 2 weeks ago and they are restarting. (not their fault, I asked them to) crapola...just what I don't need. I didn't like the migraine meds in combo with everything else. Made me STUPID but I think I'm going to have go back on them if this keeps up.
I hope you get some sleeptoday. We were supposed to go the beach but are postponing it until tomorrow. Hope the weather holds, cause it can nasty over on this side of the continent. (Yes, I've been to FL often enough to love the white sand and warm water....but you ain't seen nuthin until you've seen the OR/WA coastline...breathtaking....uh, when you can see it cause of the rain.:lmao:
Have a better day, 'k.....? some nice soothing tea and a something very blah to eat...If you like blueberries and pears, make a little fruit salad out of them with cool whip or something. At least you'll get some natural vitamins.

I was taking topamax...won't take anything that may increase my wieght as I'm diabetic. Went to a support group meeting today. Only 4 of us from the Portland area met at this restaraunt but its a start. Yay!! I'm very tired now though, especially with my head aching.

T,
It's all ugly and nasty, nothing looks nice or easy. There's just no easy way. I have some post saved on my favorites and when I feel better I'll forward to you.
I had a yucky day, early morning gyno annual check up which flared things ups, slept whole dayl. Can't wait to feel better and get back on my feet again, this just sucks.
Bye.

Hi Julie.....
Yeah, Iknow, I'll talk to the doc next time Isee him. I am hurting right now and feel like life sucks again. It's just another flare...I went to the beach with my family yesterday and wound up walking through the sand in pain....I didn't want to miss a day with the kids since I miss everything else. I'm going to see pain doc tomorrow. They gotta do something.
I sympathize, I also suffer migrains!

Hi Blue: yeah....Migraines seem to have a correlationship w/ IC (UH, what doesn't, eh?) BTW...cute Pic...I read the thread where everyone was cussing about trying to post their pics...I believe you were one of the cussers? Can't remember, but it is a good pic of you...
I'm doing Ok w/ the migraines right now...they use to be absolutely awful. In fact, I was planning on going on Medical leave last year to try to clear them up when my side starting aching, a cyst broke, my internal tummy adhesions got horrible, and I went to surgery...(starting the pain of the IC) So those went from everyday slowly to every other day and I saw a migraine specialist..$600 bucks later (I didn't realize my insurance wouldn't cover her..) I started taking bacflofen and vitamin B2...The baclofen I only took for a month, before It started to clear them with the B2...the Baclofen is a relaxer but it works fromthe brain instead of from the muscles themselves. ....I still take the B2...
Enough blabbing..
By the way, what does B2 do for Migrains? How does it help?

I dunno...I just did what the highly paid specialist told me.:hmm: And it works..I've read that before and researched it....it's seems to work well for me. For which I am grateful. It has at least reduced one area of pain by about 90%.
