Is there any sort of "prelief" to neutralize spicy food?
Silly question, I know...:)

Yes, it's called Prelief, & is over the counter. My local drug store ordered it for me & I also purchased it on this website. My dr. has me taking it w/ meals & snacks. Hope you can find it in England.

I thought that prelief neutralized only acid foods... does it work also for caffeine and spicy food?
Thanks!
Prelief doesn't work for caffeine. I've not tried it with spicy foods because I've found that I feel best if I stick to the IC diet & just use Prelief for restaurant foods that may have small amounts of acidic preservatives (like breads or hamburger buns).

Milk can help with some spices, but I agree with Kadi that it's best to avoid them.
