I went in today for my second nerve block for severe bladder pain. The last one, two weeks ago, gave me two days of relief. This time, he hit a nerve in my leg and my entire right leg is numb and awful--I can't walk on it at all. It collapses underneath me. How long will this last? I'm really scared that the damage might be permanent. Has anyone experienced this before?

Have you called the doctor who did the block? If not, I suggest you do so this morning.

I also suggest you call the doctor. It is unlikely that the damage is permanent - when the anesthetic in the block wears off, you will probably regain all feeling in the leg - but nerve issues aren't something to fool around with. You should at the very least let him know it happened so he can be a bit more careful next time!!

Have you called your doctor to report this yet? If not, please do so. He needs to know and you need to hear what he has to say.

Like the others have said it probably is best to call the dr about this.
I have had many nerve blocks in the past.
I wouldn't mess around with this and give the dr a call.
I wish you well!
