Well, as many of you know, I am going thru an EXTREMELY hard time right now, and it has really taken a toll on my bladder. Last Friday, my mom told me something that my soon-to-b-ex had done and I got very upset (this was after a tearful, intense counseling session I had gone to). I got that panicked, sick, overwhelmed feeling and my bladder "seized up" for lack of a better term. I went to the bathroom, and when I wiped there was blood. Definitely not vaginal bleeding either. Everytime I went that night, there was blood, but no more the next day. Of course this happened after the uro's office closed. I was thinking UTI, but it stopped. Can spasms cause you to bleed?

I think you really need to see your URO and talk to him about this one. I do not know if spasms themselves can cause blood. I know that I have been in a massive flare before and have had a trace of blood in my urine, BUT not so noticeable when I wipe just a little noticeable in the change in color of my urine. Sounds like stress does cause you a lot of grief concerning your bladder. I would talk to your Dr about this also.. I am sorry you are dealing with all this..(((hugs)))

Thanks! I have my regular appt w/ my uro for the 17th. I'm trying to hold off on making any appts right now, with so many things going on I am having to miss work at times and am trying to keep it to a minimum!!

Yes, spasms can cause blood. I have had visual signs of blood in my urine with absolutely no bacteria/infection. It means the bladder itself is definitely damaged. Hope you've had that visit to the uro and are doing better now!

Went to my uro last week. He thinks the blood in urine was the combination of long-term and acute stress and the recent Botox. No signs of UTI:smile tee He took me off the Neurontin after I complained about the side affects.
I go to see the new uro tomorrow, first thing in the morning (fingers crossed :pray:)
