Help!!!

I had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago and developed phlebitis in my left arm from the IV. They want me to take 600mg Ibuprofen and now I am in severe pain with flare. Is there anything at all out there one can take for inflammation that will work????? I need help please!

Please call your doctor's office and let them know how you are reacting to ibuprofen. There may very well be something else you can take that won't cause you to flare.

Hi there! Before being on my medication, Ibuprofen would sometimes cause me to flare. It seemed to help if I took the ibuprofen with Prelief. I also got phlebitis from and IV when I got my IVP done. My doctor also put me on antibiotics for the infection and that seemed to help. I hope you can fiind something that you can take that will help you.

Ibuprofen caused me a major flare with fever once.. it is not well tolerated from most of us!

I had some success with paracetamol + codeine. It's very poweful but it causes some constipation.
