Has anyone ever gone or have thought about going? I am getting so sick of being passed around from doctor to doctor. It would be so refreshing to be in ONE place where doctors communicated with eachother to try to find an answer. Just wondering if anyone has had any epxperiences here or have thought about going?

Are you talking about MN or AZ? I tried and they told me they do not take IC patients at all. My primary dr also tried getting me in for my brain tumor and they would not take me.
GOOD LUCK!!

I don't know where you live but I keep reading that Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore MD is highly rated for IC. I also keep seeing stuff about the cleavland clinic. Hope this helps.

where do you live what state? There are other hospitals just as good as mayo and even higher ranked in urology. I have heard of people going to mayo for ic and not being impressed. I am saying IC. I know other people with other diseases they have diagnosed and excelled. Personally, I go to the University of Michigan which is a two hour drive for me.
Right now the top rated hospital list and top rated hospitals by speciality was just published . THe number one hospt. for urology is John Hopkins and number two is Cleveland Clinic. However, you still can have md of that caliber at other hospitals then the top ten. Did you go to the IC approved MD's that other members recommend on this board? Sorry don't know how to navigate it but someone else will chime in here. Start at home page. Look at the list. There are lists of md's from people on this ICN who have been helped so much by their uros they are posted by state. Give it a look. Vicky Good Luck

I just wanted to say that john hopkins is a WONDERFUL Hospital. When I lived near Baltimore, my mom use to go tehre frequently because of her Lupus. She said they treated her nicer than any place she'd ever been and that was years ago. So im sure its a great place.
I also wanted to comment about the Mayo clinic. the one in scottsdale. In August I had called up to see about getting an appt. They sent me out financial assistance paperwork and said I could get seen. But I could never afford to get a plane ticket. But from what I hear they do treat IC, not sure if they are the best tho...
But good luck findin a good IC dr.
they are few and far between these days it seems.
