Perimenopause

Well I got my blood work results back today. They said I was perimenopause. I asked if it was related to the IC and they said no. My estrogen level was 36 and my testtistrone (sp) level was 47. I am curious to know if anyone else went through this with the IC. I am only 31 years old and now have to take hormone replacements.

Dear Peaches -

Wow, Peaches, you have a very low estrogen level.

Lack of estrogen can lead to an IC problem. Go and read my story under Success Stories that I posted back in December 2007 entitled, "Estrogen as an IC Treatment."

I now use vaginal estriol cream 3 times per week (can't use estradiol cream it causes abdominal and vaginal discomfort) as well as 2 mgs of estradiol pills per day.
