White particals in urine

I'm not new to IC - just didn't know where else to post my question. I am having white particals in my urine. I've seen it before, but it's getting worse....bigger particals.

Today, I fished one out of the toilet (gross I know). Sort of reminded me of a pc of plastic...

Is this the lining of my bladder sluffing off? Is this normal?

I have seen this question ask MANY times before here on the ICN.. I also have seen white specks like you are describing in my urine. But this was at the beginning of my diagnoses with IC.. But I was also paying ALOT of attention to my urine then also, which I had never done before. So I have no idea what the specks are. I am betting we all have this IC or not..

It's my understanding that most bladders will slough off some tissue. We don't pay any attention to our urine usually, but with IC it's a natural thing to look at our urine. If you think about it, most toilets are white so any white flecks won't be immediately visible. If you're having increased pain or burning, you should be checked to be sure you don't have an infection working.

yep, this comes up now and then. I have had this twice, both times during a horrendous flare. The interesting thing is that once I am done "shedding" I feel wonderful.

I've always seen the "specks" but this speck was rather large.

My specks are really noticeable. I take Prosed Ds and it turns my urine Blue, so the white specks really stand out!

It is normal for us, I have had it sent away and I can't remember what it actually was but nothing bad, I had it so much once when I was straining my urine for stones it was so thick it plugged up the strainer.
