this morning

i woke up this morning with horrible pain and went i go to the bathroom it burns like crazy and my bladder feels on fire. i'm 99% sure its not an infection. i don't have to go alot and its not like i'm peeing razors...it just seems like everything is super super senstive. i didn't eat anything yesterday that would have sent me off i don't think. does anyone else experience this sometimes? could it be from holding it all night and letting it just sit in my bladder? i'm not sure.

i'm not sure what it could be but when i do that its either two things one I do have an infection and yes they have just hit me like a ton of bricks over night even if i had a uti test a day before. I know those little test strips i have gotten at the drug store don't always show a true uti .
or
its time for my mthly.
I would go get check to be on the safe side that 1% could be an infection.
in the mean time drink lots and lots of water and use that heating pad if you have any pain meds take them.

I agree with Rhonda, you should check and make sure it is not an infection. This is something new it sounds like and you should always check with your Dr. with something new. Sending hugs,:grouphug:

I agree with these wonderful ladies. You should be checked to see if you have an infection. I was having a long and nasty flare and thought that the pain couldn't get any worse and then all of a sudden, it did! I was going out of my mind and came on here to vent, and got many replies that said "go to the dr. to see if you have a UTI" Well I have no med insurance and no extra $ so I really didn't want to. But thank goodness that I took their suggestion. Got my self to an immediate care clinic and sure nuf, I did indeed have an infection on top of the flare. Doc gave me antibiotics plus pain meds and I felt much better real quick. If it had not been for the advice of these gals, I'd probably still be climbing the walls. Thanks again my friends.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I do agree with theese ladies but also say...yes I can have horific pain from holding it too long at night...sometimes I wish this disease didn't progress so slowly in me so that I would WAKE UP when I need to go...although I know others would say I am blessed I can sleep...only I can sleep only after I have already gotten to sleep.

Ok I rambled. I hope you feel a lot better soon...I hate flares.

Definitely get checked for infection. I find that just before and after I urinate I have extreme burning, but the burning usually goes away when I am actually urinating, but I have read that this is normal. Take a trip to your dr. and see if you have an uti.

i bought a home kit and it was negative for a UTI, but i have a supply of bactrum so i am going to take that for a week. i leave for salt lake city tomorrow for a week, so i can't get into a dr. if it gets any worse, i'll just have to go somewhere out there. tx again. hope you are all having a wonderful day. meg

You really should check with your Dr. before you start any medication. Especially since you tested neg. I know that sometimes those kits show a false negative but I would still check with someone. Is it possible you could run a urine sample to a hospital or lab tonight so at least they could check it and if your Dr. has to phone something in for you in Salt Lake he could? Since you are leaving in the morning, I would not hesitate to call him at home and let him know what is going on and let him decide what you should do. Good luck and have a nice trip.

i also wish you a very nice pain free trip inthe morning and also a safe trip. I have to agree with dyno here you do need to be checked even if you have to go to the er in salt lake because the anti you have may not be the right anti for the infection you have.
the reason we telling you this is because we care about you and want to see you get the best medical help you can get.
please let us know that your okay and let us know when you make it home safe. and I hope that you get medical care you may also need something for pain since you feel like you are peeing razor blades maybe that a mild pain pill would help you feel better or maybe some ditropan xl may also help you.
