Is baking soda safe in pregnancy?

Having a flare.. again.. was out a week with the last one. FINALLY felt good enough to clean a bit in the house. Well an hour of cleaning threw me in a flare. Argh!

Can i take baking soda? I see some websites say no baking soda or pepto but they don't say why. My blood pressure is normal so..
