HELP! Sore throat!!

I didn't know where to post this, can anyone take sucrets throat losenges or anything else?!?! My throat hurts so bad and all I have done is gargle with salt water which isn't helping...

I have no issues with Chloraseptic (sp?) throat spray or Halls. Not that either takes away the sore throat completely, however they do help keep the throat numb and soothed temporarily.

Same for me....Choraseptic throat spray seems to give me the best relief for sore throat. Post nasal drip often causes me to have sore throat and for that I get great relief from Claritin Allergy. hope you feel better soon!

I'm ok with Chloraseptic also.
Luden's Honey Licorice throat drops are ok for me & my mom who also has IC.

I have no problems with Ricola natural herb/original flavor. They work very well for the dryness of sore throat. Some people don't tolerate Ibuprofen, but I do fine with it in modest doses and find that it really helps with sore throat pain and headaches associated with a cold or flu. My husband thinks I'm nuts, but I am a firm believer in eliminating all dairy products if I have a sore throat or a cold. Dairy is a happy medium for bacteria and milk coats your throat, making it more susceptible to infection.

Hot water with honey never hurts. I also find that ice-water diminishes sore-throat pain by anaesthetizing my throat, at least for a little while.

You should go get it checked just to be sure you do not have strep or a infection. I pray your throat feels better soon. I always found that eating cold stuff helps.

thanks so much for the help guys! I will go get some of that spray this morning and maybe some natural throat drops from whole foods!! If it doesn't feel better by tomorrow I will probably go to the doctor, but I'm not sure what they will give me that I can actually take, my IC is so freakin sensitive!
