I'm wondering if anyone has had a steroid injection at all for coccydynia? I am on day #2 and the tailbone pain is still worse than before the injection. I'm really nervous about it. I know it can get worse first but how long can it be this bad? I'm just really nervous....sitting hurt enough to begin with!

This was 11/23/08 and i'm still waiting for it to
kick in. How about yours? is it better?

Thanks for replying! I've had the hardest time finding anybody who has had this done! Did you have the kind where it was done while watching it on xray? I did. So, I had mine done two weeks ago tomorrow. Not only has the medicine not kicked but I am still worse! Sitting is agony, so are BMs and car seats are the worst (even with cushion). Keep me posted on how you do!

Praying for the both of you. Never heard of it. I have had cortisone shots that don't help. It dented my back and made a white blotch. My rheumotologist asked if I had heard of Michael Jackson (the white skin thing). Duh, I grew up in the 80's. :) He's originally from Egypt, so you know... :)
