I hit the mother load today

Decided to tackle my bedroom today and started with all the junk piled up on the cedar chest. Underneath it all I found a gold mine in socks. :woohoo: Found two mates to my old socks and 4 socks with no mates of my new socks (yes, the sock monster is still holding those mates for ransom) and 2 pair of old socks. :bow: Was wondering what happened to all my socks. Not sure what else I will find once I get to the rest of the room but wonder if I will find the sock monster under my bed waiting for me???? :rolleyes: Anyone know of a good defense tip for fighting a surprise sock monster attack?

I have found that the absolute best way to find lost mates to socks is to throw away the single sock that lacks a mate --- I can almost guarantee that immediately after the garbage man leaves, it will appear out of nowhere right in front of you!

i have accused my washer of eating them... maybe get diaper pins and pin them together.. hhmm good advice, I think I'll do it. :biglaugh: I hate when I do that to myself lol

I always thought it was the dryer, but that was before I got my own washer/dryer (which was a long time ago) - so now I don't have anyone or anything to blame. But I do like what Donna said if you are missing one and you decide to throw the other away, sure enough the other sock will turn up (lucky that my husbands/sons socks are usually one color

I have dealt with this and hated it! With 5 kids in the house what do you do.. BUY ALL WHITE SOCKS!! LMAO...This way you have matches...lol
