I posted about a week or so ago. I am disabled in a w-chair. Finally went o a urologist. He said he doesnt diagnose IC lightly. I am scheduled for a urodynamic test and a cysto. Due to my muscle/nerve problems there are other possibilities to look at. And After MUCH MUCH MUCH prayer (which I totally believe in,:pray:God is AWESOME) WELL. ALL MY SYMPTOMS, POOF, VANISHED BUT ONE. lol WEIRD! I used to be up till the wee hrs of the morning crying on the phone to my mom and praying with that burning and pressure. Now weird thing is I have to pee BAD like clock work at times every 2-3 hrs. I pee and feel completely fine until 2-3 hrs later I feel my bladder getting fuller and fuller. Sometimes its a normal amount sometimes its ALOT.
Any one ever experienced this and is there anything med or anything to help this? I have to have someone help me go to the bathroom so 3 and 4 times a night is torture. I am on highest does of Ditropan allowed but it dont seem to be doing the trick.
thanks

I do remember. I do think it was good of you to visit a urologist. Of course, some individuals have gone to urologist that they were not impressed with. (and/or wasted visit)By the way, I do pray as well. I do know others on here will pray some, too. I think I would freakout if I had to have help every single time that I had to pee again. Geez! I am not sure someone would be available as much. God is always good. I still got much love for you. (and all that come on here) Yep! Oh! I just take Elmiron and CystaQ. Of course, you have not been told IC so far. We don't need a prescription to get CystaQ.(and order online)(and link on forum home page) Of course, others will chime in. I never tried Ditropan at all. None of our medications start working right away.(darn) You are not the only person that tried a medication without any success from it. Ok, then. Your urologist must be a good one because it sounds like he wants to be 100% sure the indiviual either has or does not have IC. Regardless, I did not see any date, but you can let us what the urologist says. Take care and be good.

Hi Cherie,
Every 2-3 hours is actually not that bad for an ICer. You may want to try something to help you sleep more deeply though to see if maybe you can sleep through some of the urge and maybe reduce to 2 times per night. When I was "well" I still got up about 2 times per night. Now that I'm seeing a recurrance of symptoms I am getting up about 4. During the day I can't hold it for more than an hour and a half and the urge comes back within about 10-20 minutes of going. I just wait until it's strong. You may have some anxiety because you need help getting to the potty and don't want to bother that person. Some relaxation techniques could be helpful. The only other thing would be to try one of the other anti-spasmodics like Enablex, Vesicare, etc. Sometimes one works better for some than others. I wish you the best

Thanks for the love and replies.
My urodynamics test is monday. I will let you all know how it goes. I read some horror stories here and pray its not as bad as all that. They know I cant stand up and sit down at all as I cant walk. Do they like provide a potty chair to pee in or do you have to go to a bathroom?
