Hello. My name is Stacey Shannon. Along with being an ICer, I’m also a freelance journalist. Right now I’m working on some articles for the winter issue of IC Optimist, the publication of the ICN. I need some help from other ICers for this.

I’m working to identify IC catastrophes and how to deal with them. Right now I have how to survive no restroom access, how to survive dining without IC friendly food, how to deal with a family member or colleague giving you a hard time about IC, how to deal with losing your doctor, how to survive traveling during a flare and how to survive running out of or needing meds on a holiday or weekend.

If you are interested in talking with me about any of these topics (and we can talk about more than one!), please let me know. I have some specific questions, but I’m open to input. If you have suggestions of other crises, let me know that, too.

You can respond to this post, PM me or e-mail me at schr3ib3r@gmail.com. We can talk through PM or e-mail or set up a time for me to call you – whatever is easiest. I need to have all interviews finished by Dec. 3.

And, as always, you have the choice to say whether you’d like to use your real name or a pseudonym for the article.

Thanks so much!

I am still looking for people to talk to about this. If you only want to talk about one specific topic, that's fine. Feel free to PM or e-mail me. I'd love to hear your story. And, as I mentioned, you can even chose to remain anonymous in the article.
