Hi all,

I tried to refill my oxybutynin 5mg tablets made by Pliva today & was told by two different pharmacies that it is no longer available. I asked for name brand Ditropan then & was told that that is also no longer available...
I did not tolerate Ditropan XL when I tried it 5 years ago.

Now what?

I don't know where you live, but I'm in Connecticut and just got a Ditropan refill (5mg) this past week. Nothing was said to me about it being discontinued. Check with your doc. There are other meds available to curb the urgency.

I'm still getting it without problems, but under its generic name, oxybutynin.
Wow, I posted this question over a year ago!

I've been on this One Year and have NO trouble getting a Refill when I need one.

Maybe it was back ordered from those pharmacies' suppliers or just that company stopped making it - I think the brand I've been getting is Qualitest. Sometimes when a generic's been out for a long time they do discontinue the brand.

I'm just glad everyone is able to get what they need. This condition is tough enough as it is without worrying about getting the necessary meds.

BYW...How did you find out your name (sort of) in Elvish? I'd like to figure mine out. Beautiful language isn't it?

I got it from a website...I'll send you a PM with the address. If anyone else is interested send me a message. :)
