I am hoping that someone here can guide me in the right direction. I have had pain in my right kidney area for two years now. Last year when I went to the doctor complaining about this pain, they found a mass on my left ovary. After removal of my left ovary, the mass, and my falopian tube they told me the pain should be better. Two months later pain reappears, now they remove my appendix. The pain has continued until this minute. The only time I realize the pain is when I don't feel it, I guess I've grown so used to it. The last ultrasound I had stated a "5mm cyst in the mid lateral right kidney" Noone seems to feel that this is of any signifigance to any pain in the right side. The pain I have is across my right hip bone area, from my rib and down into lower abdomen. Always in the rib and hip area, not always in the lower abdomen. My lower stomach is some days as bloated as can bee and some days not too bad. What do I have to do to get someone to listen to me. I have read so much on IC that I really feel this is a possibility on what is wrong with me. My urine tests come back with no infection, so they have all ruled out any kidney problem if you can believe that! I guess they feel the cyst should be there, Im not sure. If any one out there can help me through this so I know I am not crazy please do so. I really could use some words of encouragement right about now. Thank you all.

It's possible that the pain you have could be IC, but not necessarily so. Have you seen a urologist?

I do strongly suggest that you not give up until someone finds the answer for you. Pain is not normal. What you describe is what I felt with gallstones, but it could also be indigestion --- or any number of things --- and you need to know. If your current doctor is not willing to help you, you can always go elsewhere for a second opinion.

Warm healing thoughts,
Donna

WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!
I agree with Donna it does sound a lot like galstones to me. Galstones are very common.

I hope you find the answer and feel better soon. I know how upsetting it is when you don't know what is wrong...can't seem to find the answer...and go day after day with the symptoms.
