I am a new IC patient, but have had IBS & FM for 25 yrs. I know my triggers for a FM or IBS flare, but not ones for IC yet. If I'm having an IBS flare w/ diarrhea I stay away from vegies & too much fiber. If I'm constipated I will increase my fiber. My GI doc has put me on Librax for diarrhea & I'll take it PRN. Try to stay away from the vegies till you feel better. Surprisingly, my IC meds are helping my colon. I've also taken an SSRI for my IBS & you're doing that too. I'm so sorry you are suffering. Can you call your gastroenterologist in the AM? I hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks for the info. I am not seeing a gastro at this time I am going to see my regular dr on tuesday and I am going to see what his input is on this IBS stuff but you know what I have found out in the past is that this site or you ladies know more about these illnesses and how or what works for us. I hope you know what I mean. Thanks

I just read about this (actually I heard a little about it years ago and wondered if it would be good for IC) and it sounds amazing for so many diseases. Low side effects, low dosage, and cheap and in trials - but NO big pharma to push it. Doctors may prescribe off-label. Anyone interested?
