On Wednesday night after some depressing news about my son's car the repairman said it was in too bad of shape to fix and told us to spend that money on a new car or a good use car (since we put a lot of miles on cars we decided to do the new one). So on Wednesday night we went shopping and made a good deal.
The sales person said to us what about your car? we said we were upside down on payments and told him it had xx amount of miles on it and he said he can get us out of that! and you know what? he did with lower car payments!! So yesterday besides running on 2-1/2 hours of sleep (was so tired that I couldn't sleep that night) after doctors appts and work I went to the dealership and wrote a couple of checks out. I bought both cars with my son paying me monthly on his as he didn't have any credit ---- I still don't know if I'm crazy, stupid or giddy (maybe all 3??) but when you start putting in $$ for car repairs its time. Both are 2009's Kia's one is a Rio (white--my son's) and the other is a Spectra (Red/standard and thats ours). I drove my son's yesterday afternoon and it is really nice. My son was telling me that with all the mileage he put on it so far the gas gage hasn't moved at all! :lmao: Think this weekend I'm going to be driving ours.
Don't you know that when I got home yesterday evening I crashed and didn't get up till 6:00 when the alarm went off.

Sounds like you've had a busy week!
So.........if we don't see you around on the boards for a few days.........we know you're out cruising!:)
Have fun.

Love my Son's car!!! I can't drive the other as its a standard (never learned-but also because of the rotator cuff surgery, my arm is still weak.) My son did look at me funny when I said I wanted to go out in it--only to the store and back (20miles roundtrip--plus as I went somewhere else as well). It drives nice--you can't hear it when you start or turn off the engine. Plus the gas mileage is unreal!! - he also let me drive it up to work -but I don't think I will take it out on long distance driving (35 miles into town- I know its not a lot of miles but my old body can't take it-- the car is too low for me.) I told my boss this morning what I did and he looked at me and I told him "No, the state of Texas doesn't pay me THAT MUCH!!)
