Question from new IC patient

I am a new patient w/ a question related to what I saw on a thread about throat discomfort. I am on Elmiron, Detrol LA, Nexium, & Diovan HCT. I too have been having a frightening feeling in my throat. I am going for a second opinion today for the IC, but the urologist that diagnosed me said it might be the Detrol. Also pyridium & prosed gave me a "lump" in my throat. The Detrol helps my severe urgency so much, I would hate to stop it. Has anyone else had this side effect with these bladder meds? It seems the drugs help but have terrible side effects. Thank you for any info & help.

i'm sorry to hear that your having side effects with meds that are helping you :( i get a weird feeling in my throat like the pill is "stuck" there and burning a hole :( i've linked it to not taking enough water with my pills. i hope you can quickly find what is causing if for you so you can start feeling better! good luck!!!

Im very sorry to hear this. I know sometimes your body may need sometime to get use to the meds, then they wont bother you so much. I would talk to your doc and see what they have to say.
You are not alone, my Elmiron makes me so dizzy sometimes I feel the need to grab on to something sturdy and just ride it out.
Also my urelle makes it hard for me to breath and gives me cottom mouth.
Both help alot though so I keep taking them.
