I wasn't sure where to post this, so my apologies if this is in the wrong spot! I know that a lot of people have sensitivity to chemicals in products such as toilet paper, is this true for tampons as well? Is it a sensitivity that develops over time? Just wondering if I should avoid using them because they will cause a flare (seemingly ok to use them now), thanks for any feedback :)

Hi there, Jill sells different products for feminine hygiene here on the site. You can also find different products via Amazon, etc that don't include chlorine, deoderants, etc. Natracare also has tampons that don't use applicators which some bladder patients can find irritating. I only use tampons on my heaviest days.....when I don't have to struggle getting them in and out.

I have reviews of different products on my website (link below). Just click the link that says "Food and Comfort Items."

I seem to flare when I use tampons (and I use the natural ones no chemicals in them...etc.) BUT at the same time I am thinking I may have borderline VV.
STILL not sure....so this may be a reason as to why I am unable to wear them.

Peace

Not sure if it's because of the IC, PFD, or VV but I absolutely can not wear tampons - (no matter what kind I have tried - they all simply hurt me) - I wear pads - but believe I need to research some of the natural ones because even those tend to irritate me.

I wasn't able to use tampons at all for years because of the IC, but in the past couple of years I have been fine. :-)
