a few people have said that their doctors are hesitant to have patients do self instills of lidocaine at home due to the danger of heart arithmia. when i called my doctor, they said they have never heard of this before. i just don't wnat to do anything that may potentially have harmful effects. has anyone else been told this by doctors?

for those who have been told it could be dangerous, how much cc's do they put into your bladder? i do 30 cc, 3 times a week. thanks.

This is something I've never heard. I would think the doc would know what he's talkiong about, but I just don't know about heart problems. Kathi:frown:

Lidocaine- heart arrythmia- yes it is a very rare side effect of Lidocaine. But, not with instilling it into your bladder. Rare side effect that some people may have when it is injected into their veins. I used 20cc Lidocaine in my bladder once a month and did well with it.

Take care,

Vicky

If you're concerned, you might want to have the lidocaine instilled in your doctor's office until you know how you will react.
