I'm so upset

Someone I knew, to get back at me, took their pet and dumped them off at the SPCA. I've been trying to think of how to rescue them for weeks now but I just don't have room for anymore animals. Had thought maybe I could send money (annonoumsouly..I know spelled wrong) but not sure if htey would use it for their food and care. I just don't know what to do. they know how I feel about animals and they are to be taken care of unless the person cannot physically or finacially take care of them anymore. It just makes me so sad. Here they were free and happy and now they are caged, sad, lonely and scared and if no one adopts them (which is highly unlikely since they have been over packed since summer) they will kill them off. These type of people really tick me off.

Yes, I hate the feeling you have when you know this has happened. It is so sad. Hopefully, they won't turn around and get another pet right away. -I've seen that happen too, and that really makes me steam!

Ah Mary, it breaks one's heart and I really don't have any answers for you. Just, that I'm sorry! Hopefully they will be one of the lucky ones who do get adopted.

That makes me so sad, I have such a soft-spot for animals and I think they are really *healing* to us and I just can't understand how someone can just throw out a pet like it means nothing :( I just don't get it.

I hope he/she finds a home soon, I had read somewhere that the holidays were a busy time for adopting pets.

That's the 4th animal they have dumped on the SPCA. :cussing: They don't care and they did it each time to get even with me. It isn't them in a cage on death row and each time I was ticked off beyond ticked off. I've had a migraine for 2 weeks straight. Either way there is no happy ending. If the animal is addopted out it means one of the other ones that were dumped off has to be killed instead. They know the SPCA is full to the max and each new animal means one more dies. I still say those type of people should be caged up and see how they like it.

I do hope there is a god (everyone knows I don't believe in one) and when their turn comes and they stand in front of him I want to be there just long enough to see how they explain there way out of doing what they did. They say they are so religous and god talks to them but that's another thread in another posting area.

I've often read your posts and have sympathized so much with what you are going through.
You are a beautiful and caring person.
I, too, am constantly disgusted by the way people treat their pets. In fact, when I read horrible news or headline about pets I have difficulty getting over it for some time.
Every day when I say my Morning Offering I pray for the animals (and people) who will suffer that day by either lab testing, medical tests, those waiting for diagnoses, those going to the slaughterhouse, experiencing cruel treatment, factory farms, etc.
I pray that God gives them courage, relief of their suffering, when possible, a peaceful death.
Truth be known, I, mostly, hate to even travel as you often see so much cruelty when you get out of your culture/environment.
Truly, the worst is the insensitivity of your friends and family members as you are closer to the situation but 'are unable to do anything about it.
As my dear mom (RIP) used to say "You can't solve all the problems of the world" so, I guess, the best thing we can do is pray that these poor souls may come to a good home or at least not to suffer.

Mary Honey why do you think they did what they did to get even with you? I agree these people should NEVER get another pet. I use to get myself so awful upset with the cruel actions people use with animals, kids and man-kind in general. It made me sick. I realized at some point that I could only deal with what is mine. My kids, pets, family. Except sending a check to Doctor's Without Borders and the animal shelters. We are limited in what we can do but can always try to live our lives in such a way that others may follow. If these people set out to hurt you they are accomplishing just that. It is better that they delivered them to a shelter then dumping them off in the road as many people do. Now that really makes me angry! Even if you don't believe in GOD the saying Let me do what I am able to do and let me have the wisdon to know what is impossible to do and to know the difference. Not the exact words but the meaning is there. I am so sorry for the stress this has caused you. You are cared about, most deeply, by many here. Hugs, Ziggy
