Has anyone seen the commercial for the frozen potatoes that are already cup up for you and you just put the bag in the microwave and mash them and you have instant mash potatoes?? Has anyone tried this? Does it bother your bladder. I am not sure of the brand name, but I think it is Odella or something like that.
Thanks,
Maryann

I just saw the commercial for them yesterday too, so I havent tried them yet either. I think it is a great idea though! Somehow, instant potatoes made from potatoe flakes just arent the same, ya know?

Though, even if these are great, I wouldn't buy these on a regular basis, since I am home anyway and can peel potatoes and cut them up while I stretch out on the couch. However, I think they'd be great for me to have on hand in the freezer, just in case I want to or need to throw somethng together for dinner pretty quick. I always keep a can of salmon on hand to make Salmon croquettes (a.k.a. Salmon patties) when I need a main course in a hurry. I also buy the grilled, pre-cooked chicken breasts (in the freezer section), so by the time I throw toether a few side dishes or toss a salad and brown some rolls, the chicken is done! :) Now that "real" mashed potatoes are available in a snap too, if someone drops by, I can have a nice dinner on the table in 15 min! :) Now THAT'S service! :)

I haven't tried those but I buy at Costco instant mashed potatoes. They are just potato, butter and salt. They taste like fresh mashed potatoes.

I finally tried the frozen potatoes. I personally did not like them. They had a weird taste to me. I think I will just have to stick to garden potatoes!
Thanks,

I love hash browns and usually buy the "Just Potatoes" brand. I tred the Betty Crocker dried ones and OPPS!!! They have msg in them~ Bleah........nothing is easy.........

I am learning to love making things from scratch, though!!!
