Hey everybody - sorry its been so long since we've been online. Life has been crazy. Michelle is still doing great on the dex, and we added Cytotec/Misoprostol. We're going to do that mix for six months (up in February), and then hopefully stop them both. Michelle's gyno will want to do Cytotec one a month every three months as maintenance. As far as the IC is concerned, she's still symptom free - but we've found she also has fibro :help:

Wish us luck trying to treat that, and feel free to send any questions.

-Sam and Michelle

Hi:)
Thanks for the post...I know there have been many who have been wondering how Michelle is doing. Very happy to hear she she is symptom free...what a blessing. I'm sorry for the new dx of fibro...I wish I had some words of wisdom on that but I don't know much about it, but I'm sure the other gals will chime in!
Prayers and well wishes your way, Bri:)

Still doing well on the IC front - hopefully get her off the Dex in February. Looks like she might have hashimotos instead of fibro - we're arguing with our internist over some lab work.

Glad Michelle is doing so well! That's superb! Maybe that Dex just put IC down in the ground----I"m sending the Universe that message.

Hugs to you both!

Anyone know if this is IC okay? I NEED to put some weight back on NOW. I can't keep buying clothes....and I'm down to a size 3 juniors and 2 pettite. My size should be 4. The Dex is great for symptoms but I need a supplement.

If this doesn't look like a good one, someone PLEASE recommend one....I would have just cut and pasted the ingredients, but it was PDF format and the dreaded hand tool wouldn't let me.

I am not endorsing this product....just need a supplement/shake to put some weight back on quickly......please please don't remove the link.....I'm not advertising this product, just asking for info!

Thanks,

Hoping it's Hashi's instead....I think it's easier to treat. I know you two have found a good endocrinologist....I know how you operate. That's where I'd look for help.

Good luck!

Thanks, Did you have your appt with Dr Parsons's yet and tell him you are on dexedrine. Probably as long as he is not writing the script as we know he doesn't for any opiates he will be fine he is not prescribing it.

I have had my appointment postponed X2 - once by me and once by Dr. Parsons. I see him in January.

I don't know if I could handle
Ensure.....

I cannot tolerate Ensure...made for a lot of gastric distress and some bladder pain and spasms. I was trying to drink a can of it a day a while back when I had lost too much weight but it did not agree with my tummy nor my bladder.:( I only tried the vanilla flavor and even that was sickeningly sweet for my taste.
Make sure you're getting enough protein, Jan. I finally started boiling eggs by the dozen to keep in the fridge and made sure I ate two a day til my weight came back to normal. Bah humbug, now my belly won't fit in my jeans, and it's not IC belly this time lol Christmas present to myself: tomorrow I'm going to hit the stores and hopefully find some post Christmas sales on jeans that FIT this darn belly...you know it's bad when you gotta unbutton the top button BEFORE even eating Christmas turkey! :lmao:

Whoever that needs it has lost too much weight from the dexedrine. Not suprised. Drink Gatorade or G-2. Those two drinks are good and are filled with electrolytes. If you went to the ER and gave you an IV it would be like drinking Gatorade. So if you are feeling weak, dizzy. Go buy couple jugs of the stuff and drink, drink force the fluids. It will keep you from an IV and out of the ER. IT has me when I had the flu. Most recently it helped after my Dad's surgery when he was weak and dizzy. Also, when I had the kidney stone I drank g-2 I like better. I just saw another kind of those type of drinks on sale 10 for 10.00 you can't beat that. It will always make you feel better when you are sick, flu etc. Trust me and try it. It helped me get through ambien withdrawal. I stay away from the red color and the orange colored drinks. I drink the lime- called mist mostly only flavor I drink. I don't want to flare my bladder. Vicky

I hope j56 is still doing well on the dex. I think we all are waiting to see what the famous doc thinks of this treatment! I'm going to ask my doctor for recommendation for a psychiatrist so that maybe I can get a prescription. I'm so tired of this disease. I am trying some different supplements like pumpkin seed extract but nothing doing anything positive yet. Sometimes I rub dmso on and maybe it helps a little but inconclusive since I don't do it all the time. I was hoping that someone would have luck with Low Dose Naltrexone but noone has yet? PV

J56 is on low dose naltroxene she has mentioned it before.
She also said when she called uros' office they sounded like not happy she was on dex.
The famous uro - my educated guess since he doesn't believe in narcotics for IC is that he is not going to agree with the dex. Her appt. Is sooon? VN
