Does Vitamin D cause anyone to flare?

My doctor called and my Vitamin D level is apparantly pretty low. I am already taking Caltrate +D and they told me to continue it and called in a RX. They called in 50,000 mg pills (yes thats fifty thousand)- 1 pill a week for 4 weeks. Does Vitamin D cause pain for anyone? I am scared to death it will hurt me, but I need to take it- Dr. thinks its why my leg and ankle bones broke so easily.

I do fine with the 50,000 unit prescription vitamin D. My level was really low when it was tested earlier this year. I took it once a week and was tested again after 3 months. I was happy to see my level was normal so fast. Now I'm taking a pill every other week until I get tested again next month. There was another post a while ago about prescription vitamin D and I don't recall anyone having a flare from it. Good luck!
