Definition of IC for newspaper

Hello
I was wondering if anyone has any good articles or where I could locate a good description of what IC really is.
I had one of the local papers write a quick article about IC and they put "an annoying bladder condition" I wasn't too happy because if it were "annoying" I would still be working and enjoying my life. I can handle annoying. I can't handle debilitating constant pain!!!
Any way if anyone has any suggests or ideas as I am going to try and get them to really explain IC not just annoying condition!!!

Thanks systitis! I actually did print stuff from here and they got an annoying condition out of it somehow!
