ok so i had an appointment this am with my OB/GYN. She did the potassium test on me. It was Positive!!!!!!! wow could I ever feel that. but she didnt give me elmiron or anything becuase she wants me to talk to my urologist. He is the one that has said oh you dont have IC but he gave me Urelle. Now urelle just helps with the pain but it i not a IC med right? so i need to call him? So would you say I have IC? It is amazing how happy you can be to find out yes you certainly had a reaction to it.

It does sound like IC --- you might want to ask your OB/GYN to send a note to your uro.

I would definitely see a uro, but me personally I woudl see another. The first one I saw blew me off, a year and a half later I went to a different one and he is one of the best people that has come into my life. That sounds melodramatic, but he has and is helping me so much thru this and is totally sympathetic and proactive. Find one that listens to you!

I just got a call from the nurse at the urology office. she is going to talk to him and see what he wants to do next. If I dont get a good response I will be finding someone else. bad part is there are only 3 urologist in my area and all in the sameoffice. We will see. thanks for the response
