After 10 months of not eating pizza I finally gave in and tried white pizza (mozz/ricotta). It was AMAZING! Truthfully a little too much garlic for my taste, but just to eat a slice with everyone else, and it didn't bother me one bit! (I took prelief before). I can't wait to have it again. Also for some reason I can eat the chicken crispy salads at both Friendly's and Red Robin (with prelief) without any problems. This is huge for me. Just wanted to share.

Yeah! You are lucky you live in Jersey. I'm from NJ and grew up liking white pizza alot. So when I got IC it was OK for me when I returned to the NY/NJ area as far as pizza cravings because white pizza is great. However...I live on the west coast now where there is no such thing as white pizza like there is in the East. It's one of the things I look forward to the most when I go visit family. I probably eat white pizza 3 times a week while I am there. I am very diet sensitive and it has never given me problems. I also don't like when there is too much garlic, either...I have my favorite pizza places where the garlic is less or optional.

Oh I always love love love to hear when we find something our bladders don't mind!!!! ;) I grew to love my pizza with no sauce, lol. Just my veggies and cheese on the crust - my philosophy is the "whatever works!" one!!!!!! :)

I managed to work out a tomato sauce substitute using redpeppers instead of tomatoes. It works great on spagetti and pizza I can post it for you all if you'd like

Christine ~

You posted that you have worked out a tomato sauce using bell peppers and offered to share. I would love to have that recipe. It sounds so good!!!

I have found a few frozen plain cheese pizzas that I can tolerate and I add my own veggie toppings. That was a wonderful discovery! :) Especially since I love tomato and before IC I would order my pizza with extra sauce but little to no cheese:loco: How things have changed. I haven't had white pizza but it does sound good. I have made some at home with pesto as a sauce and I am ok with that, but restaurant pizza still out of the question, even tho I am i remission.

I do not like bell peppers, regadless the color, lol never have never will (people try to force them on me saying this color doesn't taste like that color but to me they all taste like green bell pepper and I just can't eat them!)

Eloise...I think the sauce you are asking about is called no-mato sauce around here, and it seems many here make it, like it, use in lieu of tomato sauce.:) If you do a search for nomato sauce I'm sure you will find some recipes:) Up near the the top right of this page you will see where it says "search" and you can type in nomato or red bell pepper sauce and you will probably find the sauce and hopefully you will be enjoying it on your home-made pizza soon! Best wishes,Bri:)

I can eat both the white sauce and tomato (for the tomato sauce as long as its use very lightly). Thankfully my son who works at Papa John's will make me a pizza with the white sauce whenever I crave pizza!!
