Parrots anyone?

My link to sanity is my parrots and other avian friends. I have about 40 now. I breed Zebra finches, Society finches, Love birds, Red Rump parakeets, and Bourkes -- a very small breeding group. But sometimes I do get finches overflowing the nesting baskets.

I also share my home with an Umbrella Cockatoo, Yellow-Naped Parrot, Severe Macaw, and Senegal Parrot (The ladder is a recue bird. I also participating in domestic bird rescues). They are sooooooooo funny.

I'm teaching my Amazon to sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "You are My Sunshine." Sometimes we gets the lyrics mixed up and sings "You are My Star." Her favorite saying is, "Roxie is a good girl, Roxie is a good good girl, Roxie is a good good good good good good girl." You can probably guess her name is Roxie.

My Umbrella Cockatoo thinks she's a dog. She runs around on the floor barking and begging for doggie treats with my two dogs. It's an absolute riot.

Well, enough for now. Anyone out there interested in birds?

my mother in law has a Macaw parrot and he talks up a strom he but boy can he make noices when he is mad too right now my mother in law is letting her boy friend keep him because rainbow doesnt like children very well and he will bite the pee out of anyone but my mother in law.
he is so cute but i want touch him he sits on joyces shoulder and she says give mommy a kiss and he will give her a kiss he does all types of funny things he even whisle the andy griffen song lol he will tell you no and yes when you asked him if he wants something he will call the kitty cat and the dogs he will even tell you when you knock at the door to come in. there is a funny story to that one day joyce was in the shower and the pastor came to her house he knocked on the door and joyce wasnt expecting anyone and left the door unlocked when the pastor knocked on the door rainbow said comein so he did the pastor didnt know she had a bird so he came in and had a sit and heard someone in the back room joyce just had gotten out of the shower in her towel and the pastor spoke and said are you okay joyce freaked and called 911 and ran out her back door in her towel to the neighbors house until she notice the car what a mess but it ended up as funny even the police got a laugh at that but i bet the pastor dont just come in to someone house anymore without first seeing them. joyce made sure for then on her doors was locked before taking a shower LOL
