FLU SHOT and SAFE for us WITH IC

I am curiuos, I get the flu shot every year. I am due to get the flu shot in a few weeks and of course I am not starting to wonder will this effect/or flare my IC?
Do any of you ladies/or men get the FLU shot?

OH yes...also curious....with xmas just around the corner....can we drink EGGNOG??? I do not drink a lot, but I love to put it in my TEECCINO drink if I could.

I have a flu shot every year with no problem other than a sore arm for a few days. And I don't have a problem with eggnog.

Since my diagnosis with IC, I have had two flu shots and have had no problems.

I agree with Donna in that I had a tender spot where the injection was given to me.

I just got my flu shot and pneumonia shot last weekend and a sore arm from the pneumonia shot was all I got from it.:smile tee

for me i have the flu shot every year (ever since i was 14) since i have a heart defect and i personally much rather having a flu shot than having a horrible flu that could cause me to have a bad infection of the heart and have to get a heart transplant....
so i get it anyway....i haven't found that it effects my IC or anything....
sometimes i feel a bit sicky for a day or so after and the place where i get the shot is always really red n itchy but nothing other than that....

I guess I am lucky my arm wasn't even sore at all! On the eggnog, are we talking about the store bought kind with no alcohol, that is the only kind I drink and I really hope that won't cause me any problems.

oh yes, definitely the eggnog question was with no alcohol...the store bought eggnog. :)
