ibuprofen or alleve and a pyridium is what helps me
also getting out of bed or off the couch and on my feet and moving around
doing some stretches
hot bath or shower

Good old heating pad was always best for me. For "walking around" - one of the new "stick on" heat pads. HEAT HEAT HEAT is the answer.

I'm going through that right now...ugh. I take advil and use heat in the form of baths and my ever-trusty heating pad. I don't know what I would do without my heating pad!

B&O suppositories are the best thing on this planet for any type of pelvic pain!!!! I can't stress it enough.
Also, if you are having such severe period cramps you should be checked. I had adenomyosis and didn't know it. It's what gave me such horrid periods.
I also take Advil with no problems, usually anyway. When I had my periods I didn't care if I had a reaction in my bladder, I took them anyway. They really help a lot!!!
Hugs, Sandy
