I am currently flaring (it is my time of the month, which I am learning means a flare). While that is hurting like hell, that is not the reason for this post. I got a question for you all out there... do any of you have a pinching pain that happens real quick, hurts really bad and then goes away? I get it on my right side about 6 inches or so from right under my right breast (trying to give you an idea where the pain is).
It doesn't always come when I flare.. but it is more active when I flare. I wake up at night sometimes with it hurting like a you-know-what and have to move and get up to make it stop. When I get it during the day it just hits me.. then just as quickly goes away. I've told my doctors about it and they all seem to be ignoring this pain (like it is in my head). I am just so tired of being in pain all the time, it is driving me nuts. :loco:
But I thought I would ask and see if I am the only one with this oddity.
Thanks in advance!

The only pinching pain I used to get was feeling like someone reached up and pinched and pulled my urethra, lol - ouch! That would make me catch my breath and cause people to look at me a little funny, ;)
I am sure others will chime in with their experiences with varied pains etc., but for me, that's all I've ever had. :)

My pinching pain was in my left ovary. Turns out it was a cyst in my ovary. Sometimes I feel pinching in my bladder, too. I am pretty certain it is spasms that feel like pinching in my case. I hope you can find out what triggers them and then maybe you will have less episodes. Try to keep track of what you eat or what you do on the day you get this. I hope you find it!

I actually had my left ovary removed a few year ago, it had a non-cancerous tumor in it. But oddly it never hurt. But now I have this hurty pain on my RIGHT side.. and my brain is like "right ovary, danger... no kids for you EVER!" so I panic... I cannot even get into my gyno until Nov 21 at the soonest as I don't have insurance am I am lucky to get whatever scraps of time I can.

I get a pinching pain when I begin and end urinating if I am running a UTI. I also sometimes get a spasm in my Urethra that feels like a pinch when I really have to go and am trying to ignore it.

Sorry to hear that Audra. There are a lot of internal parts so close together that it can be hard to figure out what is causing the pain. Maybe getting checked for a UTI is a good idea from our shopping friend above.

Getting checked for a UTI is a good idea. But to do that I either need to get those test strip thingies from the store OR goto the doctor. I am not being whiney but I got $10 for the next few weeks and I need to save that for bus fares.. I know I am sounding like "poor me" but i'm not trying to, it is how it is right now in my life.. but maybe when I can I will get checked because UTI's can be something that can be fixed.

Do you have a free clinic anywhere close to where you live? They might be able to check your urine. If there is one close by along your bus route, you might want to think about adding it to your day.
I know from experience how hard it is when you are short on money. I spent many years being in that dreadful place where I had to make my last few dollars last as long as possible.

Thanks!

I went to the free clinic today and after the dip test and poking me where I get the pinchy pain they came to the conclusion that I am having worse flares AND that my gallbladder maybe having issues. They upped my elavil and told me to keep track of pinchy pain and goto ER if they get worse.

I am very glad to hear that you did go to the clinic. I hope the
Elavil helps. I know that no one wants to go to ER, but I hope you take their advice and go if you need help.

You know what it sounds like you may have galstones. I used to get the same thing before they removed my galbladder. Pay attention to what you eat over the next week. If you get this pain when you eat foods with a high fat content that can trigger bile production and then it makes the stones move and then the pain. Actually this is kinda cruel, but you could eat a crispy creme donut, just thing of those babies makes me ill. Had one of them and 30 minutes later I was in so much pain I couldn't breathe. Regardless you should talk to your Dr. :Hugs: I hope you get an answer soon.
