Hi,

I really have no idea why this happens. After a month in remission with InterStim, my urinary frequency is back. In the past month, I was doing great though InterStim made me constipated so I had to take Senakot (stool softner). Now the Senakot seems too strong for me. The next day of taking Senakot, i had 2 bowel movements. 1 loose bowel. Besides, I had terrible abdominal cramps. I really hate this.

I don't know how to make my doctor and the rep listen to me. They are so optimistic about my result. But the thruth is that the complications are more than the benefit.

I also found out the same stimulation set a month ago becomes less stronger now. I am afraid that I may get used to the stimulation and it stops working for me.:(

I can't answer your questions but I can send you a hug and hope that things will work out. I am sure someone else can jump in here and be able to discuss this further with you.:grouphug:

Just heard about Mirolax (not sure of that spelling). It is a prescription but is suppose to not have the cramping and other side effects that some others might have.

You have got to talk to your dr and MAKE him hear you.....I don't care if that means blocking the door so that he can't get out of the door!!!!! This happened to another ICer and she went thru h#$$ before her do would remove the dang thing. Turned out, she had about 10 major complaints......she demanded the implant, it was tested and YES!!!! It was defective and no, she wasn't out of her mind!

This could be something that monthly programming could take care of.....I know that the last year I had mine I promised myself 6 months of trying. Well, for the first 6 months I did do ALOT of re-programming. The last 6 months I spent getting strong enough emotionally to have the device removed.

Sometimes those reps (who are NOT doctors)) are total puppets. My "rep" was so professional that he talked behind his patients backs....like was he so stupid that he didn't think we would find out????? And, the minute you doubted what he was doing he'd go from all smiles to a completely different person.....I learned alot while I was going thru my interstim journey and there is NOT one dr, or drug rep that is ever going to make me feel like I've done something wrong again.......

wishing you the very very best~

Hi Peiti, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I thought I'd send you my best, though (and bump this up again to increase the chance that you'll get more feedback like Teri's from folks who've had lots of experience with this). In the meanwhile, keep us posted. Best wishes, little bear

I'm sorry your having such a hard time. I have taken Miralax and it really helped without cramping. I can't very bad constipation as a side effect of pain meds. I was taking colace but it wasn't doing a thing. My dr. gave me a sample of the miralax and after 3 days I noticed a difference. I have an rx for it now but since the trial stimulator I haven't needed it again. I'm taking morphine again now since the trial came out so I'm noticing that I might need it soon. It has no taste and disolves clear in water. I also have terrible naseau so I was worried about it making me throw up. Ask your dr. about it.

Let us know when you talk to your dr. again. I feel so bad for you!
