I have seen from the information he gave me that it turns urirne blue, that is fine, but does it have the chance of doing it to contact as does the pyridum? I am thinking yes but dont see it anywhere and I saw it everywhere for pyridum. any help would be great

It also turns my urine blue. I like blue better than orange. It doesn't stain as much.

I am new to this and have not been diagnosed yet, but the uro prescribed Urelle. I take it for flares and back off of it slowly as my symptoms decrease. I find it does not work quite as fast as Pyridium, but it does work for me. The literature indicates (and the uro agreed) that Urelle is safer to take long-term, but I have noticed that some on these boards take Pyridium regularly, or appear to. Urelle does seem to stain cotton permanently, but it doesn't stain the toiletbowl and has no effect on my contact lenses. So far I haven't experienced any negative effects from it. (I noticed several posters have pointed out that Ultira-C is a generic for Urelle. I plan to ask about this at my next appnt., since Urelle is defintely pricey.)
