View Full Version : Work
Do you think I should take off work that first time? I'm not sure how I'll feel afterwords, I just don't want to be here and miserable!
I tried to schedule it for my day off, but my days off are changing. They haven't put the new schedule out, and my first
DMSO is April 5th.
I work nights, and have scheduled the appointment for the morning time.

i think since this is your first dmso to be on the safe side i would ask for at least that day off to see how you feel if your boss will let you do that then call back the following day to let them know if you can come back to work just yet. Some people do Great with there dmso others not so great I pray you are one of those that does great. but just to be on the safe side i would ask.
sending you hugs and prayers
Rhonda.
P.s
I do the heparin and marciane at home and i do great on those but we all are diff.

Why not try to schedule the DMSO appt for late in the day. Maybe leave work a little early instead of taking the whole day off & see how you feel by morning. When I had mine I used to come home & sleep with an ice pack between my legs for an hour or 2 & then felt fine. Everyone is so different, see how it goes for you.

My first DMSO was pretty painful... I ended up staying home the whole day resting, but by evening I was okay again. Now I do as Kathi suggested and schedule them for the afternoon... that way I can work part of the day, then go to the instill later and not waste an entire day on them. It works out well... by morning I'm always fine and ready to go back to work. :)

I work nights, and my appointments are for 9:45 am. I took off the first and second treatments. Hopefully, by then, I'll know what I feel like........
