What a day! I was gone last week on vacation in Vegas while my hubby was at a conference there. Anyway, yesterday was busy catching up with work. Then today I was out for an interview for an article (at a house) and I came out and my car wouldn't start. I got it started later, my dad came and we took it to the shop. Bluh. It just stinks. It's $70 to even have them look at it. Hopefully they can figure out what is wrong. ANd here I thought I'd have some extra money out of the last paycheck.
Now I"m behind in my day, still have work to do and have to get my house ready to show it to a potential buyer tonight who just called this morning. It's in pretty good shape, but there are always things to do.
Just one of those days where I needed to vent!

Cars seem to pick the worst time to pull that sort of thing don't they? And it's so expensive to have them looked at/ repaired! The worst part is when it's doing something like that and you take it in only to have them say there's nothing wrong with it. (Sounds like my attempts at IC diagnosis) You're left knowing that whatever it is will happen again!
Mine recently did the 'won't start' thing too. Turned out there was nothing really mechanically wrong with it, -just a sensor!
Hope you get caught up and showing your house goes well!

i hear ya, cars pick the worst time to break on ya. The worst is when your car starts making noises on ya and you bring it to have someone look at it and the car decides not not make the sound for the mechanic and he looks at you like your crazy!!!!! mine did that to me once.... cars have a mind of their own i swear.

I know. It's ridiculous. I had a short once in a car that kept blowing a fuse. I took the car in probably three or four times at least before it messed up while it was at the shop. So far I haven't heard anything from them. My dad thought it might be a sensor. We'll see. I probably shouldn't complain. We've had the car six years and not really had any trouble out of it. The alternator went out last spring (2007), but that was at the tail end of the five-year warranty so it was covered.
I did get my work finished at least. Now I'm off to start the housework frenzy. My father-in-law came to pick up my dog for me, so that saved me some time. Our dog is super friendly, which I think would be distracting while we're trying to show the house. He doesn't quite understand that people aren't always coming over just to see him!
