Got sick last Sat morning...first five days fever and achy all over...badly. After that, fever and very swollen lymph nodes. No sign of ear infection, been to doc twice. Running test for mono, but not too convinced it's that...no loss of appetite and no real sore throat (just a little here and there). Tonight, first real dizziness...like rocking on boat or rocking chair, as well as numbness/tingling on right side of face only. Was standing a few minutes ago and my knees went to jelly and bent like I was going to fall, though I didn't. Any ideas???? I am calling doc in the a.m.

I really do not want to make any call on what this "might" be.. But it does sound like it needs immediate attention..I hope you find out what this is..

Ronda is right. You really need to see your doctor as soon as possible.

I have to go to the doc in the morning. They called and said my liver enzymes are up. Still sick...swollen glands and all. Dizziness is better but this illness has been weird all along. They are going to double-check for mono and run a hepatitis panel. I'm going to tell them every symptom I can think of and see if they think of anything else to check for.

I had to be tested a second time for mono. The first test was negative even though my liver enzymes were elevated. The second test was positive...yep, I have mono. The weird thing was, the doctor didn't tell me to stay out of work for awhile. So I tried going (did most of three days) and ended up with my symptoms getting worse again (I was feeling better for a couple days). Now one of my coworkers is insisting I should be back at work by now and feeling better (because two people she knew in HIGH SCHOOL were only very sick for a week or two with mono. Eesh. Yes, I enjoy this SO much.
