Pain In Thigh Leg Joints

I have pain in my leg joints at the thigh, does anyone else have this? It is usually in my left one but have it in both. There are times I cannot lift my legs. One night driving to work pain hit me in the right one pretty bad & I could not lift my leg to brake it hurt so bad instead I had to lift my leg with my hand to move it.
Just wondering if this is normal with IC?

What you are describing is not usually caused by IC. I think you need to see your doctor.

What you are describing with joint pain sounds like fibromyalgia, which is a one of the 'wonderful' things you get sometimes with IC.:mad:
But that should not cause you to not be able to lift your leg. call the dr

i agree you should contact your doctor. I get pain to my right femur, and hip, bone and pelvic bone, there are times when it hurts so bad that i can barly walk. I have been to various drs and had MRIs, cortizone injections, and nothing has helped. They believe with me that it is related to my IC since the only time i get the pain and weekness is when I am in a flar and it is pressing on a nerve or something. I dont know. It is all just too confusing. Why cant anyone find answers for us.

i don't think my leg pain is the same as yours but this is what mine does sometimes i will hurt in my right leg down to my knee it starts on my right side right beside my bladder then runs down my leg its truely painful i have talked to my uro about it in the pass but he really doesnt have an answer for me i even showed him the red mark one time that ran down my leg and all he did was gave me a shot and sent me home.:confused: i don't have the pain offen but when i do oh lord it hurt so badly the last time i had it was about two weeks ago when i had a uti my right kidney was killing me and my right leg again it hurt to take a deep break in from all the pain and it shot straight down my leg that is when my doctor put me on demrol for pain which knocked me out and helped with the pain but boy did it hurt.

I've had horrible groin and leg pain since I was a child. Infact, there was a time when I was sure that I had polio because there were nights my father would have to carry me to bed. Well, took us 40 plus years but we finally know what it's caused from......IC and it's bag of NASTIES:mad: :mad:

Thanks everyone, I will talk to the nurse Monday at my DMSO appt about it.

It is like a constant dull ache but flares pretty regularly even when I'm not in a IC flare.

I will let ya know what I find out.

I have had awful leg pain for many years......A deep ache that is worse some days than others. Some days they feel rubbery too, when the pain is pain enough.

I am sure it is related to my IC.

I asked the nurse Monday about the thigh pain. She told me the researchers doing research are finding that the bladder isn't the only thing being affected by IC but the pelvic area also & that the pain may be caused from the nerves in the pelvis.
Good to know that research is going on & may get somewhere with it & one day soon find a CURE :thumbsup: :pray:

I have a dull ache in my left leg too!!! its so annoying and i find it worse when sitting!! I also find its numb!! but not the kind of numb if you know what i mean Lol, it feels strange almost not mine!! I had thought it could be a form of siatica?? but agin feel it could be related to IC as it is worse when i have stomach aches.

debzx I know exactly what you mean by "numb" mine do the same thing. Yes it is hard to describe. I have tried to describe it to DH with no good way to. Mine have done this the past 3 or 4 yrs way before I was ever dx with IC. I thought the left one was doing it b/c 3 or 4 yrs ago while mowing the yard a piece of wire came out from under the mower & it hit me in the shin, it was a very deep gash & indented in my leg. It took over a yr to heal. I should have gone to the doc or ER for it but I am stubborn & wouldn't go. And I thought the numbness & all was due to that but couldn't figure out why the other leg was doing it also. Now I know why.
