I had my second hydrodistention last week and it was the first one by this specific doc. He says he believes i was misdiagnosed and isn't so sure i have IC or that its better now. Well before the procedure i was crying because the pain was so bad and it didn't help that i wasn't allowed to drink water after midnight. so i guess my question is has anyone had this problem and should i get a new doctor. any advice i would appreciate it. thanks BObbi

You need to find a new urologist, A 2nd opinion is better. Thats what I've done to find out what was wrong with me.

I would listen to some of the feedback here and then really listen to your gut. If your gut feeling is to wait a couple of more appointments to see what he has to say, then do that. If your gut is screaming to move on to a new doc - then do that. You do deserve to work with someone who will help you and provide accurate info.

Did he give you pain meds for after the procedure????

I agree with the others, sometimes it is better to see another doctor but sometimes the old doctor can help you. Did he say what he thinks that you might have?
Keep me posted.
