Urethra Pain and burning

Hi my name is Rachel and I'm 22. My pain started after I got my tenth UTI. My frequency went away but not the pain and burning in my urethra. I went into remisssion after taking macrobed for 2 weeks and drinking lots and lots of water a day. Also, staying away from pop, alcohol, spicy foods and fruit helped. But after i had intercourse recently, my pain and burning is back. I take peridium and use baking soda in water for the burning and pain. Does anyone know of any other medicine that helps? If so please let me know, I cant stand this anymore. It also hurts the most in the morning then subsides throughout the day. When it is at it's worst I have white flakes and clumps in my urine. Does this sound familiar to anyone?? Thanks so much to any responses :)

These two meds are anti-spasmodics and cleanse your urine. They are usually very helpful for frequency and urgency issues. I take utira-c which is the generic for urelle. I don't know of any generic for prosed, so that is a very expensive medication. I find the utira-c just as effective for a fraction of the price. These are meant for longer term usage and I find are better than pyridium (the one that turns your urine orange). You should be able to get some free samples from your doctor to see if they help. I know my doctor sent me home with like 3 weeks worth of prosed and a couple weeks of urelle samples so I could see if there was any difference between the two. Also, for burning, I use a natural supplement called cantharis. You can buy this at whole foods market. It comes in a vial of tiny pills. You dissovle them under your tongue three times a day. A vial costs about 7 bucks and lasts around 10 days. It's a great thing to try since it won't break the bank even if it doesn't work. Good luck to you.

Hey there, thanks for your insight and advise i really appreciate it. Im going to go to the health food store and see if i can find cantharis. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, so i will ask about those other meds. But i really dont have any frequency, just burning and pain. feels like i got stung by a bee down there....i wish it was that simple :) once again thanks for the info, take care and all the best.
